Winton Maternity Centre

Winton Maternity Centre is run by a community trust and has midwives available that provide full continuity of care from the very beginning of pregnancy until the baby is 6 weeks old.

We offer free of charge:
- free pregnancy tests and blood tests 
- pregnancy information
- antenatal care
- specialists referrals if necessary
- Antenatal classes
- Care and support during labour and birth - at both Winton Maternity and Southland Hospital
- postnatal care both at the clinic and at home during the first 6 weeks after birth
- Inpatient postnatal care - length of stay negotiated with LMC and manager
- breastfeeding support and advice
- contraceptive advice
- liaison with community support services
